If you create your deck with us in the context of a done-for-you project, we’ll specify the terms and duration of our collaboration in our contract.

What's included in your membership depends on the membership tier you choose when you sign up. Please refer to the pricing table above for specific details about what's currently included in each tier.

We recommend scheduling in at least 2–5 hours a week to work through the course materials, interact in our community, and work on your deck. We also encourage you to commit to joining our group calls as regularly as you can (if included in your membership). During certain stages of your creative process, a higher time investment may be needed, for example, while you're writing your content, designing your art, or launching your deck. If you're collaborating with other creative professionals to help you design and edit your deck, some creative tasks will be less time-consuming for you, but you'll need to be present to guide and manage your project, reach out for support when needed, and keep the momentum going.

All membership tiers include access to all of our courses, workshop replays, and resources. If you join the full Deck Creators' Launchpad, you also get to join us for our monthly group coaching calls, topic focused live workshops, and more. Plus you’ll have access to our Deck Creators' Community, where you can ask questions 24/7 and receive guidance and feedback from us and fellow deck creators. One private call with us is currently included for all Launchpad Mastermind members who pay for their membership in full (limited-time bonus). We currently offer one private coaching call with Anna and Heath to all Launchpad Mastermind members who pay for their membership in full (limited-time bonus). Private messaging support is not included as we encourage our members to ask questions and reach out for support inside our community and on our group coaching calls, making sure that everyone can benefit.

If you're interested in hiring one of our in-house designers or editors or one of our community members to support you with your project, you'll sign your contract with them directly. Hands-on support with your project is not included in your membership fee. If you need help finding an artist, graphic designer, editor, or other creative service provider to support you with your project, you'll find an extensive list of creative professionals in our resource library, you can reach out for support in our community, or we can recommend a service provider who we think would be a good fit for your project.

You can absolutely bring your card deck vision to life no matter where you're located on this planet. Most of the printing companies we recommend deliver to countries all over the world. (If printing your deck locally is important to you, your options may be more limited, but there are many ways to produce a deck if you're willing to get creative.) In our courses, you'll also learn where to find all the information you need to (self-)publish your work in your country.

Our Deck Creation Masterclass and Launchpad Mastermind tiers currently grant you lifetime access to everything that’s included in your tier. If you choose a payment plan when you purchase your package, you are responsible for completing all installments. If you are unable to complete all your installments, you will lose access to your membership. We do not refund partial payments unless otherwise specified in our refund policy.

Absolutely! In our courses, you'll find detailed step-by-step tutorials that walk you through the entire process of designing your deck using popular design tools such as Canva and Photoshop. You'll learn everything you need to know to create beautiful, high-quality card decks even if you don't have any previous design experience. With that being said, a good eye for design is a plus if you plan on designing your deck yourself. We’ll also guide you through the process of working with professional artists and designers to help bring your vision to life. Our resource section includes a comprehensive list of recommended deck designers and other creative service providers.

If you're designing your deck yourself, you'll need a suitable graphic design tool such as Canva, Photoshop, or Affinity. (We cover all of these in our Deck Design Walkthrough course.) If you're an experienced designer, you're free to use any design software you're comfortable working with. For formatting your guidebook, we recommend Affinity Publisher for newbies, or you can use a more advanced tool like Adobe InDesign. If you're collaborating with a creative professional to help you design your deck, the minimum you'll need is a word processing tool such as Google Docs to prepare your content, and your designer can take care of everything else. If you're not sure what tools would be most suitable for what you're creating, ask us inside our community, and we'll be happy to recommend the best tools for you.

You're free to choose whichever design method works best for you. However, we do have a special place in our hearts for talented artists and designers with a passion for creating unique original art, and a big part of our mission is to support YOU! If you decide to use AI tools to create the art for your deck, we encourage an intentional approach that includes professional editing to enhance the quality of your work as it can be easy to miss little flaws that only skilled eyes will see. Also, if you intend to launch your deck with a Kickstarter campaign, original art may be the better choice as you'll be more likely to reach a larger audience of supporters with your work.

The amount of time it takes to create a card deck varies based on many factors. Some of our clients and students have completed their decks within 1–3 months while other creators take a year or two. The timeline for producing a deck depends on the complexity of your project, how quickly you and your team members are able to move through the creative process (some people are fast movers and others need more time to let the journey unfold), the printing methods used, how you plan on launching your deck, and more. For most creators, we recommend scheduling in at least a year for the entire process from developing your first concept to completing your launch. If you're an experienced creator who's already familiar with some parts of the process, a shorter time frame can be more realistic.

The short answer is: it depends! If you’re planning on designing your entire deck yourself, using free or low-cost artwork, and/or printing your deck on demand, you can get started with a very small budget. Depending on your business goals and the foundation you already have in place, it may make more sense to go bigger right away, outsource some parts of your creative process, and start with a first print run of 500+ copies. In the Deck Creators' Launchpad, you’ll learn about different ways of sourcing artwork, getting your cards printed, publishing and selling your deck, suitable for different budgets. We'll also share our best tips for funding your first print run using crowdfunding so you can produce the awesome, high-quality card deck you envision even if budget is a concern.

Absolutely! In the Deck Creators' Launchpad, you'll learn about different ways of printing your deck, including print-on-demand options starting at just one copy. Many first-time creators produce prototypes using those services before getting a larger quantity of decks printed. We also know deck creators who have built whole Etsy businesses using print-on-demand services only. With that being said, if you're looking for best possible quality and a high level of customization, getting your deck printed in bulk by a specialized card deck manufacturer will likely be your best option. If you don't yet have the financial resources for a large print run, you may want to consider running a crowdfunding campaign to fund your deck—as long as you have a great product and a large enough audience to launch it to, raising (more than) enough resources to get your deck business off the ground is absolutely possible!

There are many factors that affect how much funding a card deck receives on Kickstarter. If you plan on launching your deck with a crowdfunding campaign, we recommend investing the time, energy, and creative skill needed to design a beautiful, high-quality product that stands out from the crowd. This will make it more likely for Kickstarter to recommend your product and for backers outside of your immediate audience to support your work. It's also important to be intentional with your launch strategy, start building your pre-launch following ahead of time (especially if you don't yet have a large audience to promote to), and execute every part of your launch plan properly for best results.
